Course Structure

Debra Thana Sahid Kshudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya established in 2006-2007 session started its teaching learning activities w.e.f. 15 th Sept' 2006 with 92 students . Prof Dipak Sarkar, eminent educationist laid down the foundation stone of the college on the 17 th Nov'2005 and he also inaugurated the 1 st year classes on the 15th Sept'2006.
The college is now governed by an Organizing Committee approved by the Executive council of the Vidyasagar University.
The Higher Education Dept. Govt, of West Bengal sanctioned 06 posts of teachers including the post of a Principal and 06 posts of Non-Teaching staff. All the posts of Non-Teaching staff had been filled up with the approval of the Govt.

Admission normally commences as soon as the result of the Higher Secondary Examination is published by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Candidates are required, to apply in prescribed forms along with prospectus to be had from the office of the College on payment of fees to be notified before issue of the forms. The filled-in-up forms supported by relevant documents must be submitted be-fore the date fixed by the College Authority on the basis of which a merit list will be prepared. The list will be displayed on the College Notice Board and each and every selected candidate will have to be admitted within the stipulated date failing which his/ her candidature is liable to be cancelled. At the time of admission, the following testimonials are to be attached. Original copies are to be produced for verification, as and when necessary.

  • Attested Xerox copy of Admit Card and Mark sheet of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
  • Attested Xerox Copy of H.S. (+2) Mark sheet.
  • Original Copy of Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
  • Three recent Passport size photographs duly signed by the applicant.
  • Monthly Income Certificate of parents from the appropriate authority (Pradhan Panchayat Samaiti Sabhapati / B.D.O.).
  • Attested Xerox of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes Physically Handicapped Certificates (where applicable).
  • Migration Certificates in case of students coming from other Boards/University.

NOTE

  • All admissions are provisional. The College Authority will be at liberty to cancel the admission, due to suppression of facts/submission of false statements at the time of admission.
  • Under no circumstances, students will be admitted after the last date fixed by the University.
  • Government rules in respect of reservation of seats for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes/Physically Handicapped students will be strictly maintained.
  • The entire admission process will be processed by the Admission Committee constituted by the College Authority.
  • A student who has secured admission in the new classes but does not attend any class for consecutive 15 days without any information, may not be allowed to continue and his / her name will be struck off from the Attendance Register. His/her seat will be declared vacant making room for admission o students from the waiting list.
  • The College will take up the matter with the University if any admitted student of this College is found to secure admission elsewhere without prior approval.
  • Students coming on transfer from other colleges must produce Transfer Certificate, Mark sheet of the previous qualifying examination, Character Certificate and Registration certificate.

***Change of Subjects***

Normally no change of subject is permissible. However, such a change may be allowed on payment of Rs. 30/- under special circumstances. But any such change will be guided by the rules prescribed by Vidyasagar University.
